One state done - seven to go!

At Quartzite, Ron Paul has some friends.

Home, sweet home, at the Hope RV park.

Lunch along the road.

I had a scare today. I don't breathe all that well under the best of circumstances due to the paralyzed vocalchord. I suddenly could hardly breathe at all, just gasp desperately. It was like what I imagine a severe asthma attack would be like. I don't know what caused the attack; I may have inhaled a bug. After a couple of minutes of panic,I was fine again.

Just caught up on your trials and tribulations - from cold to hot....plans changed....equipment problems....sleeping logistics. It can only get better, right? I know you're still having a fine time.

Have fun and keep sending those beautiful pics.

From a purgatory of gullies, to the snowy heights, to the banks of the sweet flowing river, past the derelicts, once-upon-a-time motels, and tiny dessert blooms, in spite of salt-crusted backs, gears that refuse to work, and bug-induced asthma, my intrepid family-friends persevere. You are on nothing less than an epic journey! Look out for Charybdis, Scylla (flash floods)and leave Helios's (Texas's) cattle alone, and all should go well. :)

Please tell Michele HAPPY BIRTHDAY! I hope she got some cake. If ever a woman deserved cake, it is she. :)
