I was warned to avoid Bay City when planning our route. We wound up there anyway. It`s a charming place.
Nice new library. We took lunch at a cafe.
Great ice cream served in generous portions at Fairgrove. 
The Fairgrove Bean Festival is coming up. We are out of the trees, back in cornfields. Also soybeans. You can buy stoves that burn corn kernals for fuel.

Everyone,
you guys are doing great. It's interesting that ice creams gets so much attention...sounds like you need the energy. Lots of interest in your progress at the club....Michelle's tennis buddies are following your progress. Gunel Nyberg said to tell Michelle "hi". I'll do the Tour of Napa" on the 19th...I'll pretend your with me!!
