Outside Fabens, Tacos Mary caught our interest. While we were sampling tacos, Sissy and Rich rolled up on their tandem. They're riding from East to West. They started in Florida in January. They went down to Key West before turning west.

The outstanding feature of El Paso for me was this six-foot Statue of Liberty outside Mr. Al's barbershop.

Fabens is not to be outdone in statuary by El Paso. This rooster can stand up to Miss Liberty anytime.

Michele notes that the agriculture surrounding us is changing. The thirsty cotton fields and pecan orchards are being replaced by drier crops or scrubland.
